Privacy policy and cookies

1. Privacy policy

EffeConsulting, a company incorporated under the laws of Italy with registered office in Via Via Portuense 119, 00153, Rome, Italy (hereafter EffeConsulting), in compliance with its obligations under Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 (General Data Protection Regulation, hereafter RGPD) and Italian data protection legislation, respects and protects the privacy of the users of the site under the domain effeconsulting.com, making every possible and proportionate effort not to infringe their rights.

The purpose of this privacy policy is to help users understand the procedures EffeConsulting uses in relation to privacy, including what personal data is collected, why it is collected, how it is used, how it is protected and what individual rights users have.

This privacy policy does not apply to and does not exclude our responsibility for the privacy, information or other practices of third parties, including third parties who operate websites or services to which the effeconsulting.com website links.

This privacy policy applies to all personal data that Effeconsulting acquires or processes when users interact with the effeconsulting.com website, for example by purchasing and using our services, responding to marketing communications and contacting Effeconsulting customer service. These interactions may involve visitors, clients, suppliers and/or partners.

EffeConsulting also processes personal data in areas other than the effeconsulting.com website, which will require a different privacy policy.

2. General information on data processing

In this privacy policy, the term ‘personal data’ refers to information that relates to users and enables us to identify them, either directly or in combination with other information in our possession.

Site users in general

EffeConsulting processes user data on the basis of consent. By using or consulting its site, users explicitly approve this privacy policy and consent to the processing of their personal data in relation to the purposes and methods described below, including possible disclosure to third parties if this is necessary for the provision of a service. The provision of data and therefore consent to the collection and processing of data is optional. The user may deny consent, and may revoke consent already given at any time. However, denying consent may result in the inability to provide certain services and the site navigation experience would be compromised.

Clients

EffeConsulting will do everything possible, compatible with the electronic form of the services, to maintain absolute confidentiality in the performance of the services. All texts, the nature of the work carried out, personal data relating to the client communicated for the purposes of translation and any information transmitted by the client to EffeConsulting will be subject to the strictest confidentiality and the personal data collected will be treated in accordance with Article 6 of the RGPD.

In particular, EffeConsulting shall use the information provided for the purposes of the execution of the contract (and for the possible implementation of pre-contractual measures) and shall not, without the prior written consent of the client, disclose such information publicly or to third parties, with the exception of its authorized collaborators or subcontractors, where their operational or consultative work requires them to know such information. The above guarantees shall not apply where EffeConsulting is legally obliged to disclose such information, or where such information is or becomes public knowledge independently of the disclosure thereof by EffeConsulting, or where the vital interests of the data subject or of another natural person make the processing of personal data necessary, or where the processing is necessary for the protection of a legitimate interest of EffeConsulting or of a third party, which is of a nature superior to the rights of the data subject.

Suppliers and collaborators

The personal data of our suppliers and freelance collaborators (suppliers, translators, interpreters, graphic designers, affiliates, consultants, etc.) will be treated confidentially. The only information that will be disclosed to third parties is the information published on our website, such as username, mother tongue, experience and studies. Other information, such as name, surname, date of birth, addresses and telephones, will only be processed by EffeConsulting and its authorized suppliers (e.g. accounting firms, banks, etc.), exclusively for the purposes of the correct execution of the working relationship with them and the fulfilment of any legal obligations.

3. Automatically collected information. Browsing data

Like all websites, this site also makes use of log files in which information collected automatically during user visits is stored. The information collected may be as follows:

  • iinternet protocol (IP) address;
  • browser type and parameters of the device used to connect to the site;
  • name of your internet service provider (ISP);
  • date and time of visit/request;
  • the number of clicks, if any
  • the method used to submit the request to the server;
  • the size of the file obtained in response;
  • the digital code indicating the status of the response given by the server;
  • and other parameters relating to the user's operating system and computer environment.
 

The above information is processed automatically and collected in an exclusively aggregate form for the purpose of verifying the correct operation of the site, and for security reasons. For security purposes (anti-spam filters, firewalls, virus detection), the automatically recorded data may possibly also include personal data such as the IP address (the one that uniquely identifies, at least at that given moment, the host from which it originates), which could be used, in accordance with the laws in force on the subject, in order to block attempts to damage the site itself or to cause damage to other users, or in any case harmful or criminal activities. This data is used for the protection of the site and its users.

This data is used for the sole purpose of obtaining anonymous statistical information on the use of the website and to check its correct functioning, and is therefore deleted immediately after processing. Data used for security purposes (blocking attempts to damage the site) are stored for seven days.

5. Third-party cookies

This site also acts as an intermediary for third party cookies, which are used to provide additional services and functionality to visitors and to enhance the use of the site, such as social buttons. This site has no control over third party cookies, which are entirely managed by the third party. 6. Email and Newsletter

The user may receive e-mails from EffeConsulting for various purposes, such as confirmation of an order or confirmation of subscription to the newsletter, or to receive information on EffeConsulting services. In addition, for the purposes of optimizing and adjusting our offer, we record (e.g. with so-called tracking pixels) whether an email has been opened and which links in the email have been clicked. We use this data in order to be able to send customer-specific newsletter contents.

You can object to such processing by accessing www.effeconsulting.com, e.g. by changing your online profile or unsubscribing from our Newsletter, or by contacting the data controller at the address below.

7. Place of data processing

The data collected from the site are processed at the Data Controller's premises and at the web hosting datacenter. The web hosting Aruba cbt, which is responsible for the processing of the data, processing data on behalf of the Controller, is located in the European Economic Area and acts in compliance with European regulations.

8. Transfer of data to countries outside the EU

This site may share some of the data collected with services located outside the European Union. In particular with Google, through the Google Analytics service. The transfer is authorized on the basis of specific decisions of the European Union and the Data Protection Authority, in particular Decision 1250/2016 (Privacy Shield), so no further consent is required. The companies mentioned above guarantee their adherence to the Privacy Shield.

9. Security measures

This website processes user data lawfully and correctly, taking appropriate security measures to prevent unauthorized access, disclosure, modification or destruction of data. The processing is carried out by means of computer and/or telematic tools, using appropriate organizational, technical and administrative measures to protect personal data within our company, and with logic strictly related to the purposes indicated. However, no data transmission and no storage system can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. If you have reason to believe that your interaction with us is no longer secure, please notify us immediately.

In addition to the Data Controller, in some cases, categories of people involved in the organization of the site (administrative, sales, marketing, legal, system administrators) or external parties (such as third party technical service providers, postal couriers, hosting providers, IT companies, communication agencies) also appointed, if necessary, as Data Processors by the Data Controller, may have access to the Data.

Users' personal data will be stored for the time necessary or permitted in light of the purposes for which they are collected. The criteria used to determine retention periods are as follows: (i) the period of time that users use effeconsulting.com on a regular basis; (ii) the need to fulfil the contract or a legal obligation to which we are subject; (iii) the appropriateness of retaining the data in light of our legal position (for example, with respect to limitation periods, litigation or regulatory compliance reviews).

10. User rights

Pursuant to the GDPR and national legislation, users may, in the manner and within the limits provided for by current legislation, exercise the following rights in relation to their personal data

  • to know their origin;
  • to receive intelligible communication of such data;
  • to be informed of the logic, methods and purposes of the processing;
  • to request the updating, rectification, integration, cancellation, transformation into anonymous form or blocking of data processed in breach of the law, including data no longer necessary for the purposes for which they were collected;
  • in cases of consent-based processing, to receive, at the sole cost of any support, your data provided to the data controller, in a structured, machine-readable form and in a format commonly used by an electronic device
  • the right to lodge a complaint with the Supervisory Authority.
  • as well as, more generally, to exercise all rights recognized by the applicable legal provisions.

In particular, you may exercise your rights in relation to the processing of your personal data by accessing www.EffeConsulting.com, for example by modifying your online profile or cancelling your subscription to our Newsletter, or by contacting the Data Controller at the address below. We will respond to your request in accordance with the laws in force. We encourage you to indicate in your request what personal data you would like us to change, to let us know if you would prefer us to remove that data from our database, or to specify what restrictions you would like us to place on our use of your personal data. Please note that we may need to retain certain information for registration purposes and/or to complete transactions initiated by users prior to requesting a change or deletion.

11. Special information for parents

The effeconsulting.com website is not intended for children, as required by law, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. EffeConsulting is however committed to complying with legal requirements where these require the authorization of a parent or guardian to collect, use or disclose the personal data of minors. We are committed to protecting the privacy of minors and encourage parents and guardians to take an active role in their children's online activities and interests.

If a parent or guardian becomes aware that a minor child has provided us with personal data without their consent, we encourage them to contact the data controller at the address below. If we become aware that a minor has provided us with his/her personal data, we will remove it from our files.
